Master Golfer Leaderboard Taking Shape

After the first two 36 hole scratch events, held at Furness GC & Silloth GC the Master Golfer standings are beginning to take shape.

Ian Robinson (Kirkby Lonsdale) got his season off to a flyer with victory at Furness with rounds of 69 & 70 for a 3 under total finishing 2 shots clear of Chris Parkinson who made the trip up from Lancashire. Mike Parker (Penrith) & Jonathan Crosby (Workington) were tied 3rd.

On a very testing day at Silloth it was Eden GC's Martin Hand who came home as top Cumbrian. Superb rounds of 71 & 70 left Martin 2nd overall, 2 strokes behind Owen Leigh from Pleasington. Jack Hunter (Workington) was 3rd after 2 steady rounds of 72 & 73 while his clubmate Will Bowe shared 4th with the in-form Ian Robinson who currently sits at the top of the season-long Master Golfer standings.

The next counting event takes place at Appleby GC on Saturday 16th May.

Still all to play for....
